Dr. James Muir is originally from Toledo, Ohio and now resides in Carrollwood with his wife and family. He has a Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of South Florida and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan. Dr. Muir then served four years in the U.S. Navy. While serving his country, he completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. His second tour of duty was at Naval Station Great Lakes where he worked in Oral Surgery extracting widom teeth. Since leaving the Navy and starting his practice, Dr. Muir has continued his education by attending numerous seminars and trainings. In 2009, he attended an Implant Seminar Continuum and is now placing dental implants. He places both single units for missing teeth and multiple implants to secure dentures. In the spring of 2010 he attended The American Society for the Advancement of Anesthesia and Sedation in Dentistry course at St. Joseph’s Hospital in New Jersey, earning his certificate in Sedation Dentistry.

Raised in Odessa, Raven, a Registered Dental Hygienist, is a graduate of Sickles High School. Following high school, Raven started as a Dental Assistant and found she had a passion for dentistry. She returned to school where she obtained her hygiene license from St Petersburg College, School of Dental Hygiene.

Tara was born in NY and raised in NJ until she was 13, when her family moved to Missouri. In high school she realized her passion for Dentistry and was quick to prepare herself to enter college as a pre-dental major. In her junior year of college Tara realized her true passion was education and preventative dentistry. So, she switched her area of study to hygiene. In 2003, she graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a BA degree in Biology. Two short years later she was accepted to the Dental Hygiene program at St. Petersburg College, where she attained her AS degree in Dental Hygiene. She has worked as a Registered Dental Hygienist for the past 3 years in FL. She has lived in Pinellas County for 5 years now and is growing to love the sunshine state. Tara’s hygiene style focuses on compressive gum care, as well as patient education.

Heather was born in Wisconsin and moved to Florida . She was raised in the Orlando area and in her home town she first started working in dentistry. Now, 13 years later she lives in Tampa and still enjoys working as a Dental Assistant. Heather especially enjoys calming patients who are fearful of receiving dental treatment. In her spare time she enjoys many hobbies such as traveling, volunteer work, and spending quality time with her family.

Colleen is the Office Manager. Her personality is matched by her radiant smile. She is always here to offer you a warm welcome and introduce you to the friendly surroundings of our facility. Colleen is an insurance expert and can help you understand your insurance benefits. She will help you use your plan to offset the cost of keeping you healthy. Colleen is a native to Tampa and attended grade school, high school, and college locally.
